Le campement vient tout juste d’être rafraîchi, remplacement des bois, carrelage, peinture, une trentaine de bananiers plantés et même une tentative de jardin potager. Espérons que les singes nous laisseront en profiter.

The camp has recently been given a fresh look by replacing the wood, tile and painting, planting around thirty banana trees and even attempting to lay out a garden. We hope the monkeys will let us enjoy it.

Gavilo est composé de 8 bungalows, d’une bâtisse principale avec terrasse ombragée, un restaurant et un ponton couvert pour prendre l’apéritif après une bonne journée d’activité. La cuisinière du restaurant, Mamia, propose une cuisine Africaine et Européenne. Un bar est également à disposition. Les chambres sont simples et confortables avec une salle de bain privative. Un service de nettoyage du linge de la clientèle existe et fait l’objet d’un supplément. Le linge de chambre n’est pas changé systématiquement, mais à la demande de la clientèle.

Gavilo consists of 8 bungalows, a main building with a shaded terrace, a restaurant and a covered dock for a drink after a full day. The restaurant serves European and African food. A bar is also available. The rooms are simple and comfortable with a private bathroom. There is also a paid-for laundry service for customers. The bed linen is changed at the request of customers.

C’est une contrainte liée à l’éloignement, à l’autonomie du camp et à la limitation des rejets phosphatés. Un hébergement en bungalows climatisés et salle de bain avec douche chaude, permettent d’accueillir jusqu’à 8 couples soit 16 personnes. La capacité du camp est volontairement limitéede lui conserver son coté convivial. L’énergie nécessaire est fournie par un groupe électrogène. Les horaires de démarrage du groupe sont de 6h 30 à 8 heures le matin et de 18h 30 à 00h 00 en soirée. L’alimentation en eau est assurée après pompage et stockage permanent en cuve. (Attention, cette eau n’est pas buvable)

This constraint has to do with the remoteness, the autonomy of the camp and the limitation of phosphate discharges. An air-conditioned bungalow accommodation and a bathroom with hot shower can accommodate up to 8 couples or 16 people. The capacity of the camp is deliberately limited to maintain its convivial atmosphere. The required energy is supplied by a generator. The group schedules are between 6.30- 8 am and 18.30 pm to midnight. The water supply is assured after pumping and permanent cistern storage. (Warning, this water is not drinkable)
